Brighton | Full Of Colors

Hello Internet!

How are you doing?

Brighton is popping with color these days (or, I guess every day but I haven’t been here that long).

I’ve put together a few pics from the six days we’ve already (!!) been living here.

Enjoy!

I hope you’ve had a brilliant Wednesday.

Beautiful Lights At The Seafront

Hello Internet!

How are you today?

Tuesday and all, I hope you had a great day anyway.

The seafront has been absolutely gorgeous today.

The lighting has been dreamy. Or, well, perhaps not the lighting – but the lights have been beautiful.

I love when the rays strike through the clouds like they have done today. It’s so frekkin dreamy. This was the view when I went for a run today:

It’s been beautiful in a more vacation matter as well. It’s been sunny and all spring-like.

I mean, look at this! A snap from the day, because apparently, that’s the kind of blogger I am haha.

I think the emojis says it pretty well, to be honest.

Teddy Bear Coming To Life

Hello Internet and HAPPY FRIDAY!

How are you doing today? Excited over the fact that it’s finally the weekend?? I know, it’s frekkin amazing.

I’ve just closed down my work-documents and are planning on opening the wine pretty soon. New Music Friday is already playing loudly from the speakers.

So loud.

Just the right amount of loudness.

I mean, to be fair, it’s not really a true Friday before the music is literally taking over every room of the house. Am I right or what?

Here’s what happens when you leave me alone for a minute, by the way:

I think my installation is pretty good. To be honest, I could probably change my career path right at this very moment. Away from writing and straight on art installations.

The artsy part: “Oh, ah, I wonder how I can make this teddy bear come aliiiiive!”

The other part: “Hm… A teddy bear… Come alive?”

The artsy part: “Yes! Exactly! What a great idea, make the teddy bear come alive!”

The other part: “That’s what you said just before I said it.”

The artsy part: “Ooooh, I see, you’re trying to confuse me, no?”

The other part: “What? No, that’s not at all what I’m doing.”

The artsy part: “I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what you’re doing.”

The other part: “Whatever. Make the teddy bear come alive then.”

The artsy part: “Excellent! I think… He should do something to really come alive.”

The other part: “Yeah, yeah. Come on now, we’ve got actual work to do!”

The artsy part: “Brilliant! He’ll work! Hm… Where did I put that book?” —– “Glasses? Yes! Crossed legs? Of course! Aaaah I can feel how great this is gonna look! This is so much an alive teddy bear. I’m pleased.”

And that’s pretty much what happened.

Nature’s Pride | A Frost Tree

Hello, Internet!

How are you doing today?

Here’s the view of today.

Pretty remarkable, isn’t it? It was such a humid night and ice cold morning that all of the trees around our apartment froze. And because there was absolutely no wind today – like, seriously, no wind – the trees stayed like this all of today. It was more than a magical atmosphere the entire day.

I’m so glad we got out to see it. Aaaand to run som errands but, that’s not half as exciting as this marvellous tree.

An Impressive Snow Monster

Hello, Internet!

How are you doing today?

I’m sitting closely to a fire that’s crackling away whilst I’m reading one of the new books I got this Christmas. It’s super cozy.

I’m also waiting for the washing machine to be done. O, what fun it is to wash! Seriously, it was needed. My workout clothes smelt like… Let’s not put it into words but instead picture one of the worst smells you could possibly endure, and imagine. So much dried sweat. Damn.

Speaking of sweat, I was out for a run yesterday and found this creature, that must have been created by some amazingly talented person:

How beautiful?

It was a good run. I’m finally getting back in shape!

Running with type 1 diabetes is an interesting experience. Not bad, just interesting.

I’ve always loved running but since my diagnosis I have to be more careful with not heading out without extra glucose. The “I’m running whenever I want – I don’t even have to eat breakfast before beginning a session!”-days are definitely over.

Probably for the best, to be honest, no one should run on an empty stomach, I think, it’s too easy to faint. Everybody’s got their taste and stile, though. You do you!

Gingerbread House With A Gardening House Twist

Hello, Internet!

How are you doing today?

The holidays are coming closer, can you feel it?

As you know, Felicia and I made a gingerbread house with a gardening house twist.

I’m very pleased with the outcome (especially considering we didn’t know that it would actually become a gingerbread house).

And here’s the synopsis of our gingerbread house making:

The Clash Between Green And Snow

Hello, Internet!

How are you doing?

It’s first of December!! Welcome to one of the best months! (And worst, if you, like me, don’t Christmas shop until last minute but aaaalways have this idea that “no, no, this year I’ll be out there in time – long before anyone else even thinks about Christmas shopping. Ahem.)

It’s the month of snow, candles, and possibly some unintended fires.

Speaking of which, the snow, not the fires: You know what color that looks frikkin ravishing with snow?

Green. Really, really dark green.

At least, that’s what I think. I think I love how it all becomes so peacefully grungy then if you know what I mean? It’s that dark combination of something glimmering, glistening even, and a dark loyal color that literally stays the same all year, that I absolutely love.

I’ll let Serco display what I mean.

By the way, can you see how happy he is when he’s out in the forest? It’s his zone, province if you like, no questions asked.

He’s such a good doggie. He’ll wait patiently (okay, not patiently, but obediently) for the “go” and once he gets it, as in this first picture below, he’s off. And it is so beautiful to watch. His happiness seems so pure.

Can you see his little dog butt hiding in the background? So cute, god 😂

There are a lot of things with Sweden that I hate but the forests are not one of them. Forests are perfect. Just perfect. All year round, just perfect.

They’re calm, sullen, and mysterious – what else could I even wish for? I think it’s definitely one of my top three favorite places in the world. No doubt.

Do you have a secret favorite place that you love more than any other place on earth?

Oh, and I almost forgot! It’s Friday today. So: Happy Friday!

I hope your week hasn’t made you too tired so that you can at least have a tasty meal.

Talk to you tomorrow, Internet.

Until then,
