Bundled Up With The 1940s

Hello, Internet!

Nine days and counting. Can’t believe it. Don’t want to jinx it. But… I think I can keep this up for a while now. JINX WARNING.

Geez. So loud.

How are you, Internet? Tuesdays usually suck, in my opinion, but this Tuesday has surprisingly delivered my favorite kind of weather. That’s something, right? How’s your Tuesday been?

In honor of the beautiful stormy rain squalls outdoors I’m listening to a dreamy 1940s playlist. I mean, come on, that’s the best. Music comes to life in certain types of weathers, I’ve always thought.

For instance, a blue sky and luxuriating sun needs some tropical house. And dry winds with thunder calls for AC/DC, obviously.

This particular weather (tiny drops of rain, playful winds, leafs swirling around) requires some 1940s sounds. Some songs are borderline Christmas though… That’s probably why I find the playlist so incredibly cozy, to be honest.

Currently playing is this song: You always hurt the one you love.

I’ve literally lit up around twenty tea lights and dimmed all of the electrical ones. Aaaah ~ soooooo cozy.

I’ve also made the effort to move some of the bedding from the bed to our sofa. As you might have guessed, this means I’m hiding under layers of soft fabric. It does help with the coziness, I won’t lie.

Here’s a pro tip. If you ever have a bad day (Tuesdays in particular) cover yourself in the most comfortable clothes you’ve got, light up some candles (edit: all of the candles you can put your hands on), fetch a blanket/bedding/something of the like, and put on some 1940s music.

It does help. For real, it really does.

It’s pitch black outside right now and hiding indoors with music, tea lights, and bedding does make all the difference.

I hope your Tuesday evening is just as groovy as mine.

Swim cool.

Eeyore Paid Us A Visit

Hello, Internet!

HAPPY TUESDAY!

It’s only Tuesday once a week, you know, and that should be celebrated. Just my opinion. But seriously, though, get out there and celebrate.

Today’s the day when I’m planning to actually follow a recipe to the last final detail. I will, for once, read it through – yes, all the way even though it might be extremely boring – and then create the dish so that it looks exactly like the one on the picture in the cook book. It has to be perfect because it’s a surprise for Felicia.

Wish me luck.

Anyhow, on another note: we’ve had a visitor in our home the other day. Smaller than a Doberman, bigger than a cockroach (what an awful comparison). I present to you: The Ior.

what is that.jpgHolding hands with a little being.jpg

Omg, look at him! Look at those little paws! Aaaaaaw, I die(d). But now I’m back.

The name alone melts my heart, Ior. Ior is – and has always been – my favorite character in Winnie the Pooh.

*Announcement beep* *Clears throat* You see, Ior is the Swedish name for Eeyore and they are pronounced exactly the same way. *Announcement over, beep*

By far my absolute favorite quote by him: “We can’t all and some of us don’t. That’s all there is to it.” It’s hard not to love it because it’s so immensely depressing.

Eeyore/Ior ❤️

Exploring…

The mandatory “dog or human?”-pose. You really can’t tell, can you – we sort of melted into one another.

Also, I apparently move my arms exceptionally often when I speak with somebody. I mean, look at this crane pose. Kind of impressive though.

I hope you’ll visit, or will be visited by, a little creature today. They do make every day a little bit brighter (or a lot if you’re borderline crazy-dog-lady like me).

Have a great Tuesday!

Swim calmly.

A Bit Of Sparkle And A Pinch Of Red

Hello, Internet!

Due to the headline you probably thought this post was about fashion. It’s not. I didn’t think about the possible association until after I’d come up with it and now I’m just too pleased with it to change it to something more suiting.

I’m sorry (yet I’m not, because, I could spell “pinch” on the first try and that’s a seriously tricky word to spell).

The sparkle refers to the drink and the red is supposed to be associated with the rose. Yup, no fancy outfit here – just our super cozy Saturday in three pictures. Intentionally leaving out pictures of me and Felicia in our sweatpants.

So, how are you guys? It’s Monday once again! I hope you’re having a good one. It’s spring equinox finally. The day the daylight beats the darkness!

The weather didn’t approve, though, creating a small blizzard for us to enjoy. Thanks, Lord Winter, thanks. It’s not that I don’t appreciate you, it’s just that… It’s time for spring now, don’t you think?

Me.jpg

Speaking of which (spring, that is) I’m having a lot of ideas of how to decorate our balcony this year. Last year – just like every year – I accidentally killed all of the plants. This year I’m going to have more tough and sustainable plants because I can obviously not keep the regular ones alive.

Let’s google some nice alternatives.

Happy Monday everybody!

A Quick Update

Hello Internet!

Where have I been? What have I done? Why haven’t there been any posts up on Wednesday or Friday? What is going on? Is the world coming to an end?

Well… I’m sorry guys, it’s been a crazy week. Felicia has had her birthday (which explains the picture of the cake), uni has been whipping my butt, and I’ve had no time to sit still and just — breathe. Excuses, excuses, yes I know.

However, they’re all true.

It’s halloween you guys! Halloween! An awesome time of year. Even if you won’t go to a party it’s still a good time of year. Why not snuggle up on the couch with a glass of wine (or similar) and enjoy a good horror movie? Or, as it would have been in my case, a thriller that’s scary enough for this time of year but not too scary. I don’t want to pee in my pants, thanks.

Tomorrow I’ll be back on schedule 👍

A super quick update just to let you know that I haven’t forgotten about you and that I’m still very much alive.

Talk to you tomorrow!

Pumpkin Spice, Hot Chocolate, and Other Important Things | Video

Hello Internet!

It’s Sunday! Gives a cozy feeling, don’t you think?

Like most people I’m all for routines, it gives me a sense of… I’d like to say “calm” but I think the truth is control, hehe. Anyhow, one of those yearly routines that I have is making my own pumpkin spice, going for long walks and drinking hot chocolate. (All good things comes in three, yes?)

And we all know that the most important thing while making hot chocolate is…? Marshmallows of course!

I made a little video about it all (including the marshmallows) which you can watch here or by clicking the inserted video below. It would mean so much to me if you’d want to watch it!

What are your favorite fall things to do? I’m really curious!

Have a lovely Sunday Internet, and I’ll talk to you tomorrow!

4 Teas To Rely On This Autumn

Hello Internet!

How are you doing today? It is an amazingly cozy day where I live right now. The wind is roaring outside and the leafs are swirling around in the air. Aaaah the season of autumn! And what could be better to do in this time of year than drinking loads of tea?

Mhm, that’s right! At the moment I have four favorite teas that I drink over and over again and I simply want to share them with you. Hopefully you can find your own favorites amongst them.

Earl Grey Blue Flowers

Earl Grey Blå Blom.jpgcollage earl grey.png

Instead of saving the best for last my absolute favorite tea will be presented in the very beginning of this post. Wild and crazy, I know, sometimes you just gotta live.

I love my earl grey and this particular one is amazing. It is kind of creamy and tastes even better with a dash of milk. I believe that the blue flowers in the blend are corn flowers – and I love it. Makes every sip crazy awesome super good.

Chocolate & Chili

Choklad & Chili .jpgChocolate and chili.jpg

An old favorite of mine is the chocolate and chili tea. You know the dark chocolate with chili flavor? This tea tastes exactly like that. It is the perfect tea to treat yourself with in the evening. It is so, so, so good! I usually like to eat the chili chocolate while drinking this just to get the full experience. You can’t get too much of these flavors, really.

Rose Tea

Rosenblom.jpg

This tea has its good days and its bad days. If I’ve been eating a lot of sweet flavors during the day this is not the tea I reach for simply because it tends to taste too bitter. Although, if I haven’t eaten any candy (or similar) this tea is super relaxing and luxurious.

Perfect for the pamper evening when we all want to feel like royalty in bathrobes.

Organic Orange & Cranberry

Orange.jpgOrange tea.jpg

This is one of my favorite morning teas. I think it’s because it is a green tea that it goes best with breakfast time more than anything. What I love about the orange and cranberry tea is that it isn’t as bitter as green teas can be.

You know what I mean, right? As if you’d filled a cup with grass? Yeah, this tea is nothing like that. This is also the perfect tea for when you’ve been attacked by a cold. Fight back the cough, the snot, and the fever with an orange and cranberry flavored army!

So that’s it, my four favorite teas right now. I recommend them all to everyone. As simple as that.

I hope you’ll have an awesome Sunday! I’m actually going to make myself another cup of earl grey blue flowers tea. Mmm ☕

Cat watchers #2

Here’s the other little man we’re taking care of this weekend:

So cute and cosy, can I just tell you. The fluffiest paws ever! I can cuddle with him all day (as can my girlfriend who you can see getting cozy with Atlas on the picture). So. Freaking. Cute!

I love being a cat watcher, like a guardian of cats. This boy likes to cuddle but mostly he is amazing at manipulating his way to the cat candy. I love him, I do.
